Who Are We?

Southeastern Transfer is a heavy-haul trucking and storage business specializing in the safety and on-time delivery of our customers' oversized and/or overweight goods and equipment. Started in 1929 by Grady Russell Wallace, Southeastern Transfer is now in its 80th year of continuous family ownership and operation. We service the contiguous 48 states and have intrastate authority within the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. To service the needs of these customers, we maintain a fleet containing flatbed, step-deck, RGN, lowboy, and expandable trailers as well as super load equipment, a secure 6.5 acre yard just outside the City of Atlanta, and a 200,000+ sq. ft. warehouse. A female-owned company, we are certified accordingly through the GWBC and the City of Atlanta. We are also in the process of receiving our certification as a DBE through the GA DOT.

More Info About Us

During its lifetime, Southeastern Transfer has hauled everything from government supplies and ammunitions during World War II to the Centennial Park Towers for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. We have relocated a live tree sheltering a family of endangered owls, and moved the original "General" locomotive - made famous during the Civil War in the great locomotive chase through northwest Georgia - to the Southeastern Railway Museum. We have contributed to the construction of the Atlanta Airport's new runway and transported tanks, jet fighters, and Blackhawk and Apache helicopters for local aerospace companies and the Georgia National Guard.
